  • Valid California Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Current School Bus and Passenger endorsements
  • Valid School Bus Driver Certificate
  • Clean driving record

  • A strong commitment to safety and professionalism
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing
  • Professional appearance and a positive attitude
  • Preference for 2+ years operating full-size school buses

The Shoebox Field Trip Grant

Official Terms & Conditions

No Purchase Necessary. No purchase or payment is required to apply for or receive a Shoebox Field Trip Grant.

  • Eligibility. The Shoebox Field Trip Grant is open to public schools, private schools, charter schools, and homeschool organizations located within Shoebox Transportation’s service area. Applications must be submitted by a school administrator, teacher, coach, or other authorized representative.
  • Service Area. Grant transportation is available only within the San Gabriel Valley, San Fernando Valley, and Greater Los Angeles area. Trips to mountain destinations, remote locations, or locations outside Shoebox Transportation’s service area are not eligible.
  • One Application Per School. Schools may submit one application during each grant period. Duplicate applications may be removed at Shoebox Transportation’s discretion.
  • Grant Recipient Selection. One school will be selected periodically from eligible applications. Selection may be based on need, educational value, community impact, or other factors determined by Shoebox Transportation.
  • Grant Award. The grant consists of complimentary transportation provided by Shoebox Transportation for one qualifying field trip, athletic event, or educational outing.
  • Transportation Limits. The grant includes up to five (5) hours of transportation service and up to one hundred (100) miles of travel. Additional hours, mileage, or services may be available at Shoebox Transportation’s standard rates.
  • Scheduling. Grant recipients must schedule and use their transportation within twelve (12) months of being selected. Unused grants will expire after twelve months.
  • Availability. All transportation services are subject to vehicle availability, driver availability, operational requirements, and scheduling constraints. Shoebox Transportation recommends scheduling at least thirty (30) days in advance.
  • Non-Transferable. The grant may not be transferred, assigned, sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.
  • Additional Expenses. Admission fees, parking fees, tolls, permits, meals, lodging, destination charges, and any other expenses associated with the trip are the responsibility of the recipient school.
  • Safety & Compliance. All transportation services are subject to applicable laws, regulations, insurance requirements, and safety standards. Shoebox Transportation reserves the right to decline any trip that cannot be safely or legally operated.
  • Previous Recipients. Schools selected for a Shoebox Field Trip Grant are not eligible to receive another grant for twelve (12) months following their award date.
  • Communications. By applying, participants agree to receive occasional updates, transportation resources, special offers, and service announcements from Shoebox Transportation. Recipients may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Program Changes. Shoebox Transportation reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Shoebox Field Trip Grant Program at any time without prior notice.

Void Where Prohibited. The Shoebox Field Trip Grant is void where prohibited by law.
